Stitch In and Stash Sale

On June 6th our Chapter had our annual Stitch In at Westminster Woods on the beautiful Julington Creek.    Our Stitch In's are typically a day of stitching, lunch and socializing and this year was no exception.  This year we also held our very first Stash Sale as a fundraising activity.

Our day was started with some opening remarks by our Chapter VP, Melody.

We also had a special guest, Kathy S, Region Director of Sun Region.  She discussed the Region plans for the next year as well as shared some insights from her recent needlework trip to Germany.

We had a special drawing for those members who brought finishes that were on their WIP Challenge List.  Ruth won a gift certificate to The Inspired Needle.  We had quite a few finishes!

Cathy from The Inspired Needle sent along a Lo-Lo Lip Balm for each attendee.  Thank you Cathy!

After lunch, it was time to set up for the stash sale.  Lots of goodies were brought out and set up.

Still setting up.  The stash sale was a success and our Chapter President, Linda will share the amount raised at our next business meeting.

Our view was absolutely wonderful - it was a sunny hot day and the river looked fantastic!

Here are photos of some of the project shared.  A complete set of photos can be found on our Flickr page.  There are too many to post here and blogger is acting up when trying to post more.  We have such a magnitude of talent within our guild.  Enjoy!

what a fantastic post Jackie - thanks for being our social media maven! It was a fun day - we missed all our members who couldn't attend. Cathe thanks for hosting us yet again in this wonderful place along the banks for Julington Creek. Make sure you put the 1st Saturday in June on your calendar for 2016 - we'll see you there - Melody
